As a member of the Utah County Association of Realtors‘ Community Involvement Committee, we are pleased to announce that we are choosing Heart2Home as a focus of our fund-raising and service/labor efforts. You’ll see a bunch of Realtors join efforts on Monday, March 24 to complete the current project. [Edited: See Patrick's comments in comment #4.] Look for coverage on local news channels.
Realtors are very interested in blessing the communities where we live with the work we do, and in the service and projects we tackle as a group. In today’s buyer’s market, both buyers and sellers need the guidance of a competent Realtor to ensure the transactions get from contract to close as smoothly as possible. It’s wonderful to live in a market that has very strong future prospects.
Heart2Home is an organization which UCAR is pleased to stand with in helping deserving families get into a home that fits their special needs. See the current project they’re working on today.
If you’re willing, your efforts can be put to great use by contacting Heart2Home in completing their special work. In a nutshell, Heart2Home completes home makeovers for families who have special needs. The work is rewarding and this is one great non-profit effort by so many (see the sponsors on the H2H home page).

Heart 2 Home is a great organization. How are people chosen to receive their services?

Clay:
Families (or individuals) are submitted to a review panel of individuals who work with the non-profit Heart2Home organization. From the home page, http://heart2home.org there’s a “submit a family” button.
As I read the page, the 2008 projects have already been defined and put into their queue. They are not considering any additional families for 2008.
I’m certain you could inquire when they are going to request submissions for the 2009 calendar year.

Such a great organization!
Thanks for your post Dean and Clay. Choosing is the hardest part, we have three projects scheduled for 2008 and occasionally one will pop up out of necessity. (Trolly Square victim, Stacy Hanson) for example. Anyone can submit a deserving family on our website and they will be thoughtfully considered by the Foundation. Thanks Patrick
Just a note. The Grove’s home that we are currently rebuilding will be unveiled on the 26th of March, a Wednesday at 5pm. Our community involvement day will be the 24th Monday, starting at 10am. We have several neighborhood projects that we will be doing that day for anyone that wants to pitch in. Chick-fil-a, Harmons, and Sonic will be supplying food and most of the Valley Mascots will be there to help. Just wanted to clarify the dates. Thanks again. Patrick
